My current school visit program centers around my latest book, ARGYLE FOX. It is suitable for children Pre-K - kindergarten. A typical visit runs about 45 minutes and includes a reading and book signing (if applicable). I find it most efficient to schedule visits with a max 2-3 classes together at a time.
For a short period of time, I am waiving author fees in exchange for cooperation in offering my book for sale to students. Of course, all books will be signed for the students either on-site or beforehand. Book orders should be placed at least 2-3 weeks in advance to ensure on-time delivery.
Due to my regular work schedule, I am only visiting schools located on Long Island (Nassau & Suffolk Counties)
Lesson Plan Tie-Ins:
Argyle Fox is about a little fox who wants to play outside on a windy day in the spring. In the end, he fashions a kite out of found materials to solve his problem. Suggested lesson plan tie-ins for this book are as follows:
Seasons (specifically springtime)
Weather (specifically wind)
Creative problem solving
Foxes/animals of the forest
